Interpretation
In these terms and conditions:
Chidwickonline.com means Chidwick of Harpenden, Hertfordshire, UK.
'us' means Chidwickonline.com and you together; and
'you' and 'your' means the person ordering goods under these terms and conditions.

Contract For Sale
The promotion of products on this site is an 'invitation to treat'. That means your order is an offer to purchase, not a contract of sale between you and ChidwickOnline.com.  Orders will be accepted by us, subject to stock availability. The contract of the sale of the goods will not be formed until delivery of the goods to you at the address that you give us. We retain the right to treat items ordered as separate orders.
These terms and conditions cannot be varied except by changes made by Chidwickonline.com on the website. In particular, nothing said by any representative of Chidwickonline.com will operate as a variation to these terms and condition or constitutes a legal representation on behalf of either of them.

Quality
Every item of jewellery in our collection has been carefully chosen to represent the highest standards of quality.
Please be aware that whilst we take great care to accurately describe the jewellery shown on our website, all the items are hand made from natural materials and as such their shapes and colour may vary slightly from that shown.  They are always in some way unique.  Due to the individuality of the stones on occasion it is possible that we may slightly change a piece as stones are subject to availability.
Web browsers and individual monitors may cause slight colour variations.

We will do everything possible to ensure that you can be confident of making a secure, risk-free purchase from us but in the unlikely event that you are unhappy in any way with our service or products, please contact us immediately and we will attempt to put things right or arrange for a return

Price and Payment
The price you pay for goods is as shown on our website at the time of order and includes VAT where applicable. However, orders will only be accepted providing there is no major error in the prices or descriptions shown.
Postage and packaging (P&P) charges will always be confirmed before you finalise your order.
Payment may be made in pounds Sterling (£) using; Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Delta or Maestro.

Delivery Dates
All delivery dates quoted are given in good faith. We do not accept any liability which may result from the late delivery of goods.

Title
Title of goods will pass to you at the point we charge your payment card or, when other payment methods are used, funds are credited to our account.
Under the distance selling regulations you have the legal right to cancel your order up to 7 working days from the day after receipt of the goods.

RETURNS
We will accept returns of goods not worn, used or damaged for a full refund when accompanied by the original proof of purchase.  Items must be in a resalable condition with all tags attached.  Earrings cannot be returned or exchanged.Refunds will be made by the original payment method. Easy-to-follow instructions for returning goods are included with each delivery.

Please note that returned goods on which you have received a discount /offer will no longer apply if you fall below the discount/offer threshold.
Full-priced goods must be returned within 7 days (UK), 14 days (overseas) from date of delivery; however, sale goods are non returnable.  Returns received outside the above time frames are accepted at the discretion of Chidwickonline.com.
We recommend that you use a recorded delivery service, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit. Please note that we do not accept liability for returned goods if you do not return them to us via Royal Mail Special Delivery.  You are responsible for any return delivery charges; any delivery charges already paid are non-refundable.  Please be aware that international customs duties and sales taxes are NOT refunded for shipments outside the European Community (EU).

Force Majeure
Where, in spite of its reasonable efforts, Chidwickonline is unable to perform an obligation due to force majeure, it shall not be deemed to be in breach of its contract with the Customer. This means any clause affecting the performance by Chidwickonline of its obligations arising from acts, events, omissions, happenings or non-happenings beyond its reasonable control including (but not limited to) governmental regulations, fire, flood or any disaster or industrial dispute affecting a third party.

Working days
Means every day of a calendar year apart from weekends and statutory and public holidays;

Complaints
Chidwickonline.com operates a complaints handling procedure which is used to try to resolve disputes when they first arise. If you have a complaint, please contact the Customer Service department:

Chidwickonline.com liability
a) Chidwickonline.com shall under no circumstances, save as precluded by law, be liable for any consequential or indirect damage or loss, however caused, (including (but not restricted to) loss of business or profits, loss of goodwill, damage to trading relationships, loss of data and other financial loss. ("Financial loss" in this sense does not refer to the price you have paid for the goods, which we may be liable to refund to you, in whole or in part, if the goods are faulty or do not comply with their description). Chidwickonline.com liability in respect of all other losses shall be limited to the invoiced amount of the relevant order, provided it has been paid.
b) in the event that Chidwickonline.com agrees to make a refund it will be made as soon as possible but in any event the customer will be re-payed within 30 days provided that the goods are returned and are in the same condition as they were when delivered to the customer.
c) the customer may also request cancellation of his or her payment where a fraudulent use of a payment card has been made.
d) if the goods ordered are unavailable, the customer will be informed and is entitled to any sums paid as soon as possible and in any case within 30 days.

IMPORTANT
Every care has been taken to describe items accurately, however slight variations may occur with colour reproduction or text descriptions, to the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the text descriptions, colours or other content is accurate, complete, reliable, current or error free.
Chidwickonline shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss whether this arises from breach of duty, breach of contract, negligence or any other way. Liability for any claim shall not exceed the price of the goods supplied.
Orders are for the personal, non- commercial use of our customer. Resale of any Chidwick product without the express, written consent of Chidwick is strictly prohibited. Multiple orders for Chidwick deems to be commercial quantities will not be accepted. Please note, local import duties maybe payable on receipt.

Governing Law
All contracts are conducted in English and by entering into a contract both parties agree to submit to the sole jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, in accordance with English law

Trademarks
Any use of CHIDWICK trademarks are prohibited other than with our express written consent.

All rights, including copyright, in the content of these  web pages are owned or controlled for these purposes by Chidwickonline.com.
